To Cheyenne, WY 8/29/19
On Aug 29th we headed out from IL to look at a house in Pleasant Hill, IA. We’re looking for a home with a fenced yard and covered garage for the RV, but this one needed too much work to fit our Trend. Onward that night to boondock at good ol’ WalMart in Fort Dodge, IA
The next day we had an uneventful drive to our stop at Bessey Recreation Complex in the Nebraska National Forest.

Our drive the following day on the Nevada Sandhills Journey Byway (aka Hwy 2) was beautiful. We were flanked by the gorgeous grass-covered Sandhills and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) trains ran next to us constantly, back and forth, east and west. They were hauling coal eastbound from Wyoming, and empty cars westbound back to start over again.

Spent the night at the Cheyenne, WY KOA, a clean, friendly campground. The next morning before we headed out we played a round of miniature golf, and I actually beat Rachel for a change!
