PCT to Seattle 9/11
Wednesday, Sep 11th, I drove Rachel & Robert to Snoqualmie Pass where they started their Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) hike, then drove to Icicle River RV Park, in Leavenworth, WA, to settle in.

The next day, however, I got a call from Robert —Rachel’s knee was swollen & she was in intense pain. I returned to the Pass, & we slept in the RV in the parking lot. The next morning we had breakfast at the Summit Inn, and afterward picked up a PCT hitchhiker en route to Seattle, where we were headed so Robert could change out some gear for a solo thru hike of the Enchantment the next day.

It rained while we were in Leavenworth, so we read, played Hand & Foot in the RV & ate at Andreas Keller German Restaurant before driving back to Seattle Mon night.

Tues night Steph & Robert cooked an excellent meal of salmon, pork chops, fresh broccoli, risotto, and salted, buttered, grilled rosemary garlic bread. Wednesday Rachel, Robert, & his friend Waichak started working on Steph & Robert’s new retaining wall.
