Extra stuff on board
Do you carry leftovers from projects because you think you might need them sometime? We do. I just know that as soon as we take the drill or the extra screws or the extra 3M Command strips, etc into the house and out of the front overhead storage compartment in the RV, that we will need them.
And yes, I realize there are many Walmarts and Targets and Home Depot’s around. But it seems whenever I decide to do another project it’s when we are out in the middle of nowhere. It’s usually one of those projects that I’ve been mulling over for a long time and finally decided to tackle. Or a project that I hadn’t even thought about it suddenly realized it would make life a little easier in here.
Today I put some heavy duty Velcro on the back of our thermometer, the one we use in case we think we are getting sick, because it doesn’t quite fit in the first aid/medicine kit, and has a way of sliding down and getting lost up above. So I put a piece of Velcro on the back, and then a piece of Velcro on the inside wall, and in just a bit I hope that they stay together. I bought this fancy thermometer that you can use on your forehead, or in your ear when you pull the top off, or as a room temperature sensor. I mainly just wanted something that didn’t take as long when I’m taking my temperature.
Next I’m adding a command hook by the door to hang the dog leashes when they’re with us. We usually just travel with the leashes tucked under a pillow on the seat, but when we are staying somewhere the leashes tend to get moved around. The cabinet by the door is too short for them, so we have to double the leashes over, and it gets a little crowded in there. I think I figured out a way to hang them and keep them from getting hit and we come in and out.
There —that’s better!
